On May 30, 2022, our company obtained this quality certificate. A new achievement for Pet Snack Company, S.L. as a leading Spanish manufacturer of snacks and food for dogs and cats.

 

To the ISO 22000/2018 certification in terms of quality and food safety and the SMETA certification in terms of human rights, health and occupational safety, our company adds a new certificate: FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification).

The FSSC 22000 is a food safety certification system based on the ISO 22000 standard, already internationally recognized, and complemented by technical standards, such as ISO TS 22002-1.

Thus, this certification guarantees a solid food safety management system (control of possible dangers, minimizing risks and guaranteeing the production of safe food).

 

FSSC 22000 allows us to:

• Provide proof of commitment in order to identify, evaluate and control the food safety hazards that may occur, and thus avoid possible direct or indirect damage to the consumer.
• Operate under a management system that enables us to better meet food quality/safety requirements and legal compliance.
• Provides a tool for improving food safety performance, and provides the means to effectively monitor and measure food safety performance.
• Develop a good food safety culture that, in turn, improves the trust of our customers and helps us gain competitive advantage.

Thanks to this new certification, our products for pets will begin to be distributed in new markets where having the FSSC 22000 is an essential requirement for all suppliers.
